Lut plants, eternal superheroes

Abstract

Lut desert in southeastern Iran with an area of more than 40000 square kilometers is located in parts of the provinces of Kerman, Sistan and Baluchestan and South Khorasan. The area was determined with GPS and geomorphology map was prepared based on geological maps, topography, field observations and satellite images of the region. Google Map was also used to validate and validate the scope of the review. According to field operations results revealed there were 3 types in the area including: Haloxylon ssp, Tamarix ssp and Halophyte types. Haloxylon type was a dominant type, while Halophyte species were found around the villages such as Dehsalem and Hyderabad, which have decreased considerably in recent years due to overgrowth of camels and very low precipitation.
