Abstract

Nutritional management is one of the most critical factors affecting narcis sus growth and performance. To study the effect of population and organic fertilizers (poultry manure and seaweed extract) on the growth, flowering, and some biochemical traits of Narcissus tazetta L., a study utiliz ing a randomized complete block design with three replicates was carried out over two growing seasons from 2018 to 2020. Tretments included three populations of N. tazetta (Shiraz, Khusf, and Tabas) and foliar spray with organic fertilizers at different levels of control (distilled water), liquid poultry manure (2 and 4ml L −1 ), ). According to the findings, foliar spraying with organic fertilizers improved the growth, flowering, chlorophylls, and essential oil content of N. tazetta populations. In the second year, foliar application of 2ml L with 2ml L −1 and seaweed extract (1 and 2ml L −1 −1 seaweed extract to the Tabas population increased the flower stalk length by 39% in comparison to control. In the second year, at all concentrations of sea weed extract and poultry manure flower diameter increased compared to control, and the highest value was obtained in the Tabas population treated with 2ml L −1 seaweed extract. Treatment of the Khusf population seaweed extract had the highest essential oil content, which was 2.2 times higher than the control. Based on the results of this experi ment, the use of Khusf and Tabas populations and foliar application of polutry manure and seaweed extract can be effective in improving the reproductive parameters and essential oil of N. tazetta flower.
