Abstract

Enhancement of solar still productivity is a major goal of the current study achieved through application of side transparent glass walls instead of opaque ones. Hence, the modified still is thermally modeled and validated against literature. Good agreement was observed and the results show that such a modification can bring about a remarkable increase in solar still yield while it is also accompanied by lower cost.
