Abstract
In this paper, an image encryption algorithm based on logistic map and its behaviour in a limited range, is proposed. A two-dimensional map (Baker map) has been utilized to guide one-dimensional logistic map’s behaviour toward desirable output. By manipulating input parameters of logistic maps, and synchronizing the manipulation with a specific interval, a new robust chaotic map with low computational cost was generated. The output of generated chaotic map is a chaotic sequence, which that can be used in image encryption. The generated sequence shows better results both in encryption tests and statistical tests, and has more resistance to various attacks.
