Abstract

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a mathematical programming technique for evaluating the efficiency score of decision making units. When applying DEA it is necessary that the inputs and outputs of all units are semi-positive and measured on a ratio scale. In this regard, how to deal with interval scale data in DEA is an important query. In this manuscript, we discuss data measurement and dealing with interval scale data in DEA. A mathematical programming problem for efficiency evaluation of units with interval scale data is presented. Moreover, some related topics such as target setting and stability analysis of the proposed model are investigated.
