Triticale (X Triticosecale Wittmack) is an allotetraploid and man-made cereal generated by the initial crossing between wheat(Triticum) and rye(Secale) withanAABBRRgenome,hopingtocombinedifferentindicesofhighyieldpotentialandqualitygrainproteinofwheatandhighresistancetoabioticstressesofrye.Inthemeantime,althoughsuitabletraitssuchashigh-yieldingstorageandgrainshavebeentransferredtothementionedplant,itisstillsensitivetomostabioticstresses.However,thereareseveralapproaches,includingplanting-resistantcultivars,alternativecultivation,intercropping,bio-fertilizers,etc.,toovercomeabioticstresses,e.g.,drought,salinity,temperature,elements,andothers.Ingeneral,sincetriticaleisapromisingcrophybridthatcanbeagoodalternativetocultivatingcerealsinadverseenvironmentalconditions,appropriatestrategiestoovercometheadverseeffectsofabioticfactorsshouldbeconsidered,andfurtherstudiesareneededtounderstandthisarea.
