Abstract

Over the past few decades, there has been a heightened recognition of the significance of air quality, comfort, productivity, and health in built environments. As a result, there has been a rise in the need for improved thermal comfort, air quality, and flexible ventilation systems. This research focuses on the analysis of a modeled presentation room facilitated by stratum ventilation as a low-consumption system and determines the indoor conditions. The present occupants numbered 18, and due to the non-uniformity of the conditions, a specific individual occupied zone was considered for each of them. The findings revealed that regardless of the varying distances of occupants from the inlet air diffusers, the implementation of Stratum Ventilation effectively maintained satisfactory levels of comfort. For instance, the maximum temperature difference among occupied zones showed by the results is about 2.6℃ . The predicted mean vote of all occupants is about 0.2 units. So, this study indicated that stratum ventilation can provide an acceptable non-uniform condition.
