چکیده مقاله
In this study, effects of different levels of benzyl adenine (BA: 0, 100, 250, and 500 ppm) and salicylic acid (SA: 0, 75, 150, and 300 µM) along with control (distilled water) were investigated on vegetative and reproductive growth, chlorophyll contents and some biochemical indices of coriander. Most levels of BA and SA were effective in improving measured characteristics. In comparison with non-BA and SA treatment (control), BA spraying at the rate of 250 ppm increased the plant height (36%), root dry weight (87%), and thousand seeds weight (35%). The percentage of leaf nitrogen, leaf dry weight, and total anti-oxidant by BA spraying (500 ppm) were significantly higher than the control treatment. All levels of SA foliage application, especially at the rate of 150 µM, increased the leaf phosphorus and chlorophylls b compared with non-SA and BA spraying. The highest carotenoids (4.40 mg g − 1 FW) content obtained at 75 µM SA-spraying treatments. Generally speaking, it concluded that BA (250–500 ppm) and SA (75–150 µM) spraying are effective strategies to obtain better growth and development in coriander.
