Abstract

In this paper we consider the estimation of reliability in a seriesparallel stress-strength model when the stress and strength variables have Exponential distributions. The maximum likelihood estimation (MLE), asymptotic confidence interval (ACI) and uniformly minimum variance unbiased estimation (UMVUE) are obtained. Bayes estimation and Lindley approximation for bayes estimation of reliability under the squared error loss function are derived. Also a simulation study is performed and two real data are analyzed
