Abstract
In this paper, the concept of generalized matrix algebras is introduced and the center of generalized matrix algebras is determined. In the sequel, we completely characterized linear mappings satisfying $(\blacklozenge)$ and for this kind of mapping, necessary and sufficient conditions are given to be proper.
