Investigation of Simple Steel Frame Structures and Concrete Shear Walls

Various Strengthening systems are used against lateral loads such as earthquakes. Each of these systems has its advantages and disadvantages. Sometimes another system is used as an alternative to fix the shortcomings of one system. In rigid flexural frames, it is difficult to provide resistance to displacement at high altitudes. To solve this problem, a combination of bending frame and converging bracing frame or shear wall can be used. Also, one of the methods of strengthening steel buildings is the use of concrete shear walls. Therefore, awareness and recognition of the behavior of such systems is of particular importance .
