Abstract

This study offers a comprehensive scientometric analysis of Sports Management research, focusing on mapping key concepts and the thematic development of the field. Utilizing a dataset of over 22,000 English-only documents (article and review article) from Scopus, the study examines the evolution of core themes, keyword trends, and emerging topics within sports management. Advanced scientometric tools, VOSviewer and Bibliometrix R Package were employed to conduct keyword analysis, co-occurrence mapping, and thematic clustering. The results reveal six main research domains within the field focus on global sustainability, rehabilitation, general health, injury management, leisure, and cardiovascular and pediatric-related topics. This analysis highlights the interdisciplinary nature of sports management and identifies thematic areas that are anticipated to shape future research. Insights from this study are expected to inform academics and practitioners by providing a structured understanding of how sports management has evolved over time.
