Abstract

In this work, a ferrocene-based nanocatalyst (Fe3O4@SiO2@Im-fc) was synthesized and carefully characterized and evaluated by standard spectroscopic techniques such as FT-IR, FE-SEM, XRD, TEM, TGA, and EDX. This nanocatalyst was used for the one-pot synthesis of Hantzsch polyhydroquinoline derivatives and showed good efficiency in short reaction times and solvent-free conditions. The supereparamagnetic nature of the nanocatalyst allowed it to be reused several times without significant loss of activity.
