Abstract

one of the critical issues for gaining competitive advantages is developing and implementing of BI Systems, However, the literature review shows that there is a lack of empirical evidence for CSFs for BI systems implementation in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Iran, so the goal of this study is to evaluate CSFs for BI systems implementation in SMEs in Iran using statistical techniques such as KolmogorovSmirnov Test, variance test and Tukey test. A questionnaire involved 30 BI professionals from the SMEs selected for the research. The questions in the questionnaire were selected on the basis of previously conducted surveys on Critical Success Factors which are classified into three dimensions : organization, process, and technology which every dimension included some factors , result showed , in organization dimension “ the support from senior managers.” is identified as the most important implementation factor , in process dimension “describing processes and business problems properly” is considered as the most important implementation factor , in technology dimension “flexibility of Business Intelligence system against user’s needs and capability of quick accountability” is the most important implementation factor. Generally organizational dimension has been noticed more than other dimensions for studied SMEs in implementation of business intelligence
