Abstract
In this study, an efficient synthesis of chromene derivatives has been described using a new organometallic catalyst including polymeric imidazolium ionic liquid functionalized Mn(III) Schiff base complex (PIL‐SB−Mn (III)). This polymeric catalyst has been prepared by a simple method and characterized completely by different techniques such as FT‐IR, H‐NMR, FE‐SEM, EDX, TGA, and ICP‐OES. The major advantages of this method are the reusability of the catalyst, use of water as an environmental friendly solvent and easy work up procedure. The reused catalyst has been characterized by FT‐IR and EDX analysis which heterogeneous nature of this catalyst has been confirmed successfully.
