چکیده مقاله

Abstract The reduction of plantar pressure distribution is one of the most important factors in shoe selection, especially walking shoes. The aim of this study was to The effect of the liquid sole on plantar pressure distribution and electrical muscle activity during walking. In the current quasi-experimental study, ten healthy males with no history of injury affecting walking patterns have participated. The special shoe with specific ways for liquid flow has made for this study that was capable of reducing pressure from the damping mechanism. An EVA shoe also used for comparison as reference shoe. Plantar pressure distribution was measured using the Pedar insole system and muscle activity was measured using the Myon EMG system. Data analysis was done using Pedar X and ProEMG software and in eight regions of the foot. The results of this study have shown that special shoe with hydrodynamic mechanism could effectively reduce the load in rearfoot, forefoot and toe region but significantly increase muscle activities in the leg region. the gastrocnemius increases its activity following viscous shos because of the damping effect of liquid after impact to the ground. According to the results, the damping effect of liquid shoe following impact force can effectively reduce the pressure and force in high-risk regions of the foot. An increase in muscle activity with liquid makes it an effective shoe for walking so that it increases muscle activity and consequently energy consumption with any side effect for the foot regions.
