Beyond the Classroom Walls: Learners’ Attitudes Toward Technology Integration in a Flipped EFL Course

The field of language teaching and learning has undergone fundamental changes due to the improvement of technology. The outbreak of Covid-19 which forced many educational institutions to virtual classes also further moved language education towards online mode. The present study aimed to examine EFL learners’ perception toward technology integration in language learning. To this end, a group of 24 EFL students were conveniently assigned to an online-flipped writing class. They were taught EFL writing for 20 sessions. After the course, to know about their attitudes toward the experience that they had, they were asked to answer a questionnaire about students’ attitudes toward online flipped classes. The participants’ responses were entered into SPSS and were analyzed by means of one sample T-test. The results indicated that the learners had a significantly positive attitude toward online flipped classrooms. The results were discussed and the implications for the integration of technology in teaching EFL writing were made.
